The IM’s are one of the trickiest races to truly master. In yesterday’s swimming world you could be a 3 stroke IM’er, but in today’s competitive atmosphere, you have to (as closely as possible) master all 4 strokes and fine tune three different turns and/or transitions. With that said, GoSwim.tv posted a great video this past week showing Eric Shanteau’s back to breast cross-over turn. This is a fast alternate to the back to breast open turn, and is comparable (if not faster) than the IM flip turn from back to breast. Take a look, and leave some comments after you see this:
