Our Goal
For the past two years, our approach has been vastly different from our competitors; we made a realization early-on that the swimming community needed a strong outlet for their opinions, views, comments and philosophies. With that in mind, we consistently strive to be a strong voice in the swimming community with best-in-class content development and optimizing the user-experience. It’s our goal to make news, thoughts and opinions, information, workouts, networking and learning opportunities readily accessible.
Our Story
Founded in November of 2009, the Swimmers Circle, LLC was founded by Andy Scherer, a swim coach and brand marketing mogul who was tired of the same old news sources when it came to swimming. Based off his strong family values and dedication to constantly improving, he started delivering news articles that established a voice in the swimming realm. In January of 2010, Andy brought on Braden Keith as the lead content developer who has published an average of 4 articles per day.
In February of 2012, the team expanded to four additional writers and analysts that specialize in community engagement.
Our Audience Today
With over 200,000 real views per month (we don’t keep additional stats on refreshed pages or posts) and an average growth rate of 679% per month (in comparison to the previous year), here is our current audience:
- 59% visit on a daily basis, 25% weekly, 3% monthly and 13% are new visitors.
- 37% rate the site as “Excellent” and 48% as “Above Average”.
- 93% “Agree” or “Strongly Agree” that the site content is high quality and valuable.
- 94% consider our site an authority, trustworthy and professional.
- 96% consider our site up-to-date and useful.
- 89% report a household income over $50,000 per year.
Our Future
Swimmers Circle works from a real-time strategic plan that is analyzed every 6 months to ensure maximum efficacy and the plans for the next two years are extraordinarily bright. In February of 2012, we significantly changed our platform to a user-centric model that includes member benefits, user-generated articles and video, a “Lane” for each team and company, and a tremendous sense of community with a desire to spread the news throughout the swimming world.
While we have been successful in growing the site, we feel that we can grow exponentially with the new platform and will significantly surpass our current viewership/membership. In fact, we have a set goal and an established plan to increase our monthly viewership to an average of 400,000 per month by August 2012.

We are always looking to find new ways to bring products, services and information to the swimming community.
