In the first part of our 2011 Year in Review, we pondered what had happened to former FAST coach Sean Hutchison after leaving the post-grad training center earlier this year amid controversy. Thanks to a tip from one of our readers, we have found him. He has recently begun his own training program called Ikkos Training, confirmed to be the same Sean Hutchison by his LinkedIn profile.

This training program, according to the official blog, uses theories based on neuroplasticity, and are effectively the same methods that he was known for when coaching swimmers. The idea is about “learning” and “fundamentals” and basically being incredibly detail-oriented.

The program seems to be geared towards athletes of all sports, not just swimmers. The ultimate goal seems to be a full-service training program that can be rolled out to college teams and for home use, and is geared specifically towards athletes (rather than weekend-warrior types).

He is also still the Director of King Aquatics in Seattle.
